I've decided to decorate the house after all. Mum owled me saying that she started putting up some of their decorations and then I realized how empty and lonely the house would look without fairy lights and a tree. I know it's a little silly, but it's a part of what makes Christmas...well, Christmas. Maybe a tree and some lights will help me feel less alone. Now THAT sounds silly.
It would also give me a place to put the presents I have for Mum, Dad, Andrew and Thomas. I've had their gifts for ages, but I'm so behind when it comes to everyone else. Wednesday is my day off. Maybe I should go out for decorations and gift shopping then.

I would ask how everyone was feeling about going back to Hogwarts after everything that's happened, but that seems to be what everyone is talking about right now. Now including me, I suppose. I know that finishing our NEWT examinations is important and of course the younger years have to come back to complete their education (this means you, Andrew and Thomas!), but to be perfectly honest, I almost don't want to come back. SO MUCH happened there last year and I don't think I can look at the school in the same light. I know I will never be able to walk past that tree without horrible flashbacks. I know I'm going to be on the train with everyone else in a month, but it's still tempting just to consider not going.
Of course, getting out of the ten-block bubble I've been living in to get my things together has been nice. Besides my trips to St. Mungo's and the occasional visit with friends I've really only been walking to and from work and the market and then going back to my home to cook dinner or read or sleep. I got a lot of reading and sleeping done over the last year. Mostly fiction, but I've been refreshing with my old textbooks recently, too. Hopefully I won't get too lost once classes begin.
